Congratulations to the 2017 graduating class of PINNACLE, Georgia’s premier professional development program for library leadership!
Twenty-two library professionals from around the state participated in this intensive year-long series of training events specially designed to address all aspects of library work in the 21st century.
University of System of Georgia Chancellor Steve Wrigley and State Librarian Julie Walker awarded the graduates their certificates and plaques. Also on hand were Stacy Jones and Walt McBride from the Carl Vinson Institute of Government (CVIOG).
PINNACLE is designed to prepare librarians to move into positions of leadership in their organizations and allow those already in these positions to improve their practice. Developed with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia, PINNACLE is a unique opportunity for emerging leaders to learn about leadership in the 21st century. Topics of study include problem solving, performance measures, and media relations.
Congratulations to all on such a wonderful accomplishment!
